Welcome to The Philip Sherlock Centre for the Creative Arts (PSCCA). The Centre is a unit of the Cultural Studies Initiative headed by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Rex Nettleford.

The PSCCA is located on the Mona Campus of the University of the West Indies (UWI).It is regarded as the "creative nucleus" of the the Campus. It boasts a theatre house and exhibit hall. There are regular, plays, concerts, poetry readings, dance performances, art exhibitions and more.There is not a dull moment at the Centre.

There are five clubs and societies which fall under the umbrella of the PSCCA. These include The UWI Sincers, The UWI Dance Society,The UWI Dramatic Arts Society (UDAS), The UWI Panoridim Steel Orchestra and the UWI Camera Club.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Philip Sherlock Centre for the Creative Arts provides for Faculty, students and Academia in general, space for cross-fertilization of disciplines to be enhanced by the Performing Arts. The PSCCA is the cultural centre of the campus and provides an enriched cultural life of the community both on and off campus.
