Course offerings

The PSCCA offers a variety of courses in the creative arts. This is in line with its mandate to provide a rich cultural experience for the University population. Courses such as Fashion Designing and Pattern Making, batik,, Tie and dye, Creative writing, Precision hair Cutting and Professional Nail Technology are offered by the PASCAL. The PASCAL offers a fifty percent discount to students and staff of the University of the West Indies. Come and get involved. The centre is giving you an opportunity to broaden your horizons in the creative arts. You will, without a doubt find a course that interests you. Come and register for anyone of these courses it will be well worth it. Do not let this opportunity pass you by.

In addition to these courses the centre also conducts one day and weekend workshops. These are in the areas of Storytelling, Mime, Acting Techniques, Stage Managing, Auditioning and Rehearsal Techniques throughout the year.

The centre is open to your suggestions. If there are any courses that you would like to be offered , please send your suggestions to the office. The PSCCA will consider your comments and will try as far as possible to implement such courses.

CERTIFICATION

Students will be given certificates after successfully completing their course. Those who are unsuccessful or who have not sat the exam will receive a PSCCA/UWI Certificate of participation. All participants in the summer programs will also receive certificates of participation

THE WRITERS' CIRCLE

This a creative writing group which consists of persons who have been participated in the various Creative Writing Courses offered by the PSCCA.
